Summer Food for Dogs

In my previous article, I stated that summers are a time when dogs become extremely lethargic, panting in the heat and not enjoying meals, sadly waiting for the summer months to pass.

So I had mentioned a new summer diet for dogs that included a breakfast of milk and lightly toasted bread (around half past seven in the morning).Around noon, plain yoghurt or sour curd. For dinner, make chicken stew.

During the summer, yoghurt or curd helps to keep them cool.So you can purchase yoghurt or sour curd.If you don't have access to yoghurt or curd, this is an easy solution.

100 gms of yoghurt or curd is sufficient for any healthy adult dog.

However, if your dog enjoys it, you can increase it to 150 gms per day after three weeks for large dogs such as Retrievers, German Shepherds, and Doberman.

Keep an eye on the dog to see if it has acidity after eating yoghurt or curd. Then, after three days, resume giving your dog yoghurt or curd along with an antacid that is easily available.
